The Maplewood Police Department is currently investigating a violent shooting that left a man injured in the township overnight.
According to preliminary information obtained by RLS Media, police were called to the 80's block of Jacoby Street around midnight following reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim with multiple gunshot wounds.
The victim was immediately transported to University Hospital in Newark for medical treatment.
Details concerning the severity of his injuries have yet to be disclosed by authorities.
As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, and the investigation remains active.
The Maplewood Police are continuing their inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward to assist with the ongoing investigation.
