A shooting in the city's West Ward left one person seriously injured overnight.
Multiple rounds of gunfire erupted in the 70's block of Smith Street in the city's West Ward sending police to the scene shortly before 1 a.m. where a male victim was found struck several times and seriously injured at that location.
EMS rushed the victim to University Hospital where he reportedly suffered wounds to the shoulder, arm, leg, and face. The condition of the victim has not been released at this time.
Police set up a crime scene in the area where they searched for a possible suspect and other evidence.
