Authorities in Hudson County are searching for a possible suspect who fired a weapon that struck a male victim multiple times in Jersey City on Wednesday evening.
Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 300 block of Forrest Street around 8:45 p.m.
When officers arrived, they requested PSEG to rush to the scene for a gas line struck by bullets.
Police found a male victim suffering about a dozen gunshot wounds in his legs at that location.
The victim was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment and is expected to survive.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
Police have reported no arrests.
