Police officials in Paterson reported non-fatal injuries for the victim of a shooting Saturday night.
Officers were dispatched to the emergency room at St. Joseph's Hospital after officials at the medical center observed a man enter the hospital suffering a gunshot wound around 10:30 p.m.
The uncooperative victim told police that he suffered his injury in the 200 block of 17th Avenue but would not give a motive for the attack or suspect’s description.
Officers canvassing the location found evidence that a shooting occurred.
The victim is expected to recover from the wound.
The Passaic County Prosector’s Office will lead the investigation.
