Man Shot During Attempted Robbery in Trenton

Trenton police are actively searching for a suspect involved in an overnight shooting that left a man injured during an attempted armed robbery.According to authorities, the incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. in the 200 block of Morris Avenue. 

Officers were dispatched to the area after a ShotSpotter device detected gunfire, prompting an immediate response. 

Upon arrival, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

During their investigation, officers learned that the suspect—a dark-skinned Hispanic male dressed in all black—fled the scene in a dark-colored vehicle, possibly a Honda. 

Police recovered one shell casing at the scene but, after canvassing the area, found no additional victims.

Investigators believe the shooting may have occurred during an attempted armed robbery. 

The suspect remains at large, and authorities urge anyone with information to come forward as the investigation continues.
