Police in Trenton are in investigating a fatal shooting that happened overnight in the city.
Residents in the 300 block of Saint Joes Ave. said several rounds of gunfire broke the silence of the morning shortly before 2:30 a.m. sending police and EMS to the scene where they found a man suffering injury from gunfire.
According to residence in the community, several attempts by EMS to revive the man proved unsuccessful.
A crime scene was established in the area as police searched for evidence and a motive behind the shooting.
The identity of the victim has not been released at this time.
