Hudson County authorities are investigating a shooting that left a 51-year-old man dead in the city overnight.
Police responded to reports of a cardiac arrest on the 700 block of Grand Street sometime around 1 a.m.
Units arrived to the scene to find a Hoboken man suffering from a single gunshot wound to the chest.
The victim was pronounced dead shortly after 1:20 a.m.
Police set up a crime scene at that location and have launched an investigation.
There were no reports of arrests made.
