Braxton Afifi, 26, of Pleasantville, was sentenced to a four-year term of state prison on a third-degree resisting arrest charge in accordance with the terms of his plea agreement entered into with the State on March 28.
According to Atlantic City Police, on June 17, 2022, officers responded to a call for a domestic incident in the area of Missouri Avenue in Atlantic City.
Police say while attempting to effectuate an arrest in the matter, Mr. Afifi resisted law enforcement commands to comply with the arrest.
When police attempted to place the defendant under arrest, Afifi physically resisted.
He struck the police officer causing injury.
Afifi was subsequently placed into custody.
