Man Running 'Drug Bazaar' in Belleville Arrested

A man was arrested this week after authorities seized large amounts heroin, Ecstasy, Xanax and Oxycodone inside a Belleville home.

Essex County Sheriff's narcotics officers served a search warrant Tuesday afternoon, at a home on the 800 block of Joralemon Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers forced their way in the home after authorities discovered the home surround by surveillance cameras and steel caged doors blocking its doors.

Once inside, authorities located and detained Gabriel Rangel while other officers began their search.

During the search, authorities uncovered a plastic container filled with 40 envelopes of heroin, 5 grams of cocaine and 26 Ecstasy tablets.

Authorities also seized 40 decks of heroin, 66 Ecstasy tablets, 57 Xanax pills, and 30 doses of Oxycodone.

Rangel was charged with various drug possession and distribution charges, as well as maintaining fortified premises and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was arraigned in Essex County Superior Court. Rangel's in jail in lieu of $200,000 cash bond.
