Police are on the scene of a robbery at Garden State Bank on Elizabeth Avenue Monday afternoon.
According to preliminary reports, officers were dispatched to Garden State Bank located on the 700 block of Elizabeth Avenue for a report of a bank robbery shortly after 12 p.m.
Authorities say the male suspect entered the bank and passed a note to a teller demanding cash.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, 240 lbs., last seen wearing black clothing.
The incident remains under investigation.
