Police are investigating a robbery report after a Jersey City man claims was robbed of $1,000, by a man he met online.
Police responded to a Coles Street building just before 3:30 a.m. today for a report of a robbery.
Upon arrival, police met with the 49-year-old victim who told them that after going on a date with a man he met on "Grindr", both men returned to the victim's home at about 2 a.m.
While at the house, the men began to argue over an unknown issue.
The victim reportedly went into the bathroom, returning to find his date was gone along with $1,000 that victim stashed in his bedroom.
The investigation into the robbery is ongoing.
