The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office responded to a shooting with fatal injuries confirmed in a section of Jersey City.
Police were alerted of shots fired in the vicinity of 113 Myrtle Avenue before 9:30 p.m.
When officers arrived, they found the unidentified victim suffering bullet wounds at that location.
Police say the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities have not released a motive for the shooting and the suspect remains at large.
The incident is under an active and ongoing investigation.
