The Passaic County Prosecutor's office and Clifton Police announced the that they are investigating a fatal fire that occurred in Clifton on Wednesday morning.
According to authorities, police and firefighters responded to reports of smoke condition at 1 Garden Court, Building at approximately 7:03 a.m.
Police say firefighters pulled David Bork, 69, from the first-floor apartment in an unconscious and unresponsive state.
EMS rushed him to the hospital where he died from his injuries a short time later.
The investigation remains active and ongoing.
