EMS transported a male vicim to Capital Health Regional Medical Center suffering injury from apparent gunfire overnight in the city.
Reports of shots fired sent police to the 200 block of North Hermitage Avenue shortly before midnight when arriving officers located the victim reportedly suffering a gunshot wound to the side.
The victim's injury was only reported as serious according to reports.
Officers and detectives setup a crime scene where they launched an investigation into the shooting.
There were no arrests immediately reported.
