Police in Jersey City are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred early Sunday morning, leaving one man injured.
The incident took place around 3:55 a.m. near 18 Oak Street.
Officers were called to the scene following reports of an ongoing stabbing. Upon arrival, they discovered a man bleeding.
The victim reported that he was attacked by a female wielding a sharp object as he stepped out of his car. Reports said the assailant began assaulting him without provocation.
The injured man was quickly transported to a local hospital for treatment.
As of now, the motive behind the stabbing remains unclear and police are investigating all possibilities, including whether the incident might be related to domestic violence.
No arrests have been made in connection with the attack and police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding this violent encounter.
