Police are on the search for a suspected carjacker that stole a vehicle at gunpoint, then fired shots at the victim causing serious injury overnight.
The incident occurred in the 300 block of East 29th Street at around midnight when the armed suspect forced the victim out of a white Subaru. The suspect then fired shots striking the male victim in the groin.
The victim was taken to St. Josephs Hospital where his injury was not considered life threatening.
Police located the carjacked vehicle shortly before 1 a.m. on Rt. 20 at Edwards Street damaged from a possible rollover collision.
The suspect reportedly fled the scene in a black four-door Audi.
