Perth Amboy Police are investigating a shooting that occurred in the town on Monday afternoon.
According to police, officers responded to reports of gunfire around 4:07 p.m. in the area of Mitchell Place and New Brunswick Avenue.
Police say that when the officers arrived at the scene they found a male victim suffering a gunshot wound in the leg.
The victim was transported to an area hospital where officials say he's expected to make a full recovery.
The suspect fled the scene after the incident and remains at-large.
The investigation into this shooting currently is active and ongoing.
