Police in Newark are reporting non-fatal injuries for a person found shot in the Central Ward.
At approximately 2:40 a.m., police responded to reports of shots fired on Norfolk Street.
Upon arrival, officers found evidence of a shooting, but no victims were found.
While canvassing the area for evidence, police learned that a male gunshot victim was located on Sussex Avenue.
Newark Major Crimes units responded to the scene to assist in the investigation.
No arrests have been reported.
