Police arrested an alleged serial car burglar after they say the suspect broke into over 30 cars in a section of Newark overnight.
According to preliminary information, police responded to the vicinity of South 10th Street and Springfield Avenue to investigate reports of vehicle vandalism before 4:55 a.m.
Officers arrived and found the suspect, who suffered a hand injury after they believed he damaged the cars using his fist and other burglary tools.
He was taken into custody without further incident.
Newark Police will handle the investigation.
