Man Injured in Early Morning Altercation Under Investigation in Newark's West Ward

Newark authorities are investigating an altercation that left one man injured early this morning, according to Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda.AdThe incident unfolded near South Orange Avenue and Grove Street.

Police were alerted to the situation around 3 a.m. when a man arrived at University Hospital seeking treatment for a hand laceration.

Investigators determined that the injury occurred during a confrontation with another male at the aforementioned location. 

The victim is reported to be in stable condition, and the circumstances surrounding the altercation remain under investigation, according to officials. AsAnyone with information about the incident is encouraged to contact Newark police as the investigation continues.
