A 21-year Trenton man has been indicted on rape and murder charges in connection to the killing of a 49-year-old Trenton woman during an apparent burglary attempt.

Trenton police responded to an Edgewood Avenue apartment shortly after 7:45 a.m. on June 21 (2014), after a neighbor called to report a woman screaming.

Upon arrival, officers found Keisha Alexander bleeding. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
