Atlantic City authorities announced that a resident was indicted today for one count of second-degree Knowingly Leaving the Scene of a Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident.
According to Atlantic City officials, it is alleged that Harris L. Jacobs, 26, from Atlantic City, struck and killed Orlando Fraga, 76, also from Atlantic City, on September 4 at approximately 3:35 a.m. on the 1800 block of Atlantic Avenue and then left the scene.
Officials say Jacobs was operating his white 2016 Toyota 4 Runner at the time.
This fatal crash investigation was a cooperative effort by the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Crash Investigations Unit and the Atlantic City Police Department.
