Emergency responders assisted a man out of a trash chute after the victim said he was chased by armed men and hid inside the central garbage collection point in Jersey City on Friday morning.
In a preliminary investigation, police say headquarters was contacted shortly before 12:35 a.m. reporting suspicious activities at 625 Summit Avenue with a person trapped inside the trash chute.
Officials said police arrived and found the male who reported being chased by two males armed with guns and attempting to rob him.
The suspects were never located and there were no serious injuries reported.
