Police in Jersey City are investigating a stabbing incident that sent a man to the hospital on Saturday morning.
According to a statement released by City Spokeswoman Kim Wallace-Scalcione, Jersey City officers responded to the area of Virginia and Martin Luther King Drive on a call of an assault at approximately 2:20 a.m.
Spokeswoman Wallace-Scalcione said units arriving at the scene found the victim who was transported to a nearby hospital where it was determined that he suffered an attack to the neck area with a sharp object.
According to Wallace-Scalcione, the 36-year-old victim is said to be recovering.
The investigation is ongoing and there were no arrests reported.
