Harrison Police took a man into custody after a background check indicated that he was wanted by Newark Police.
According to Harrison Police officials, at around 1:49 a.m., The Harrison Police department received a call from the Quick Chek, located at 400 Bergen Street in Harrison.
Police say the caller advised dispatch that a man was sleeping in the store who refused to leave.
According to police, at 1:59 a.m, units were dispatched to the store and upon their arrival, they were directed to the corner of the establishment where the individual was located.
After several attempts, officials say, Officer Archibald was able to wake Mr. Manoj Katel from his sleep.
Police say a warrant check revealed that two warrants out of Newark and Ridgefield Park.
Officers arrested Mr. Katel then turned him over to the Newark Police Department. There was no further incident, according to police.
