The Passaic County Prosecutor's Office is looking into a shooting incident that killed a man in Paterson Tuesday night.
It happened around 7:50 p.m. in the 400 block of Union Avenue.
Police said an armed suspect approached the male victim and fired rounds into his head before running from the scene.
Officers arrived and found the severely injured, unconscious and unresponsive man lying on the ground.
The injured victim was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Passaic County authorities.
Paterson Police searched the area for additional victims, but no other injuries were reported.
The incident is under an active and ongoing investigation.
