Newark Police are investigating an aggravated assault that left a man seriously injured outside a bar in the city’s North Ward early Sunday morning.
The incident occurred shortly before 2:30 a.m. near the Rincon Centro Americano Night Club, located in the 200 block of Park Avenue.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found an unidentified man suffering from a serious head laceration.
EMS was immediately called, and the victim was transported to the hospital for treatment.
He is expected to recover from his injuries. It is unclear at this time whether the assault took place inside or outside the bar.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the attack.
