Authorities in Irvington are investigating a shooting that left one person injured last night in the township.
Police responded to reports of shots fired that rang out in the area of Clinton Ave. and Montgomery Street at around 10:30 p.m.
Units arrived to find a male victim suffering injury from gunfire at that location.
The victim was transported to University Hospital in Newark where his injury has only been reported as serious.
Police setup a crime scene in the area where they searched for evidence and a possible suspect.
There were no reports of arrests made.
