Earlier today, after a week of trial, a jury deliberated for less than 90 minutes and convicted Shane Whipple, 29, of Murder, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon with an Unlawful Purpose in the murder of his aunt, Jennifer Whipple.
According to police Ms. Whipple was killed in her Winslow Township apartment on January 26, 2018.
Police say her body was discovered on January 27, 2018, after out of state family members called the Winslow Township Police Department and requested a well-being check.
According to officials, Shane Whipple faces life in prison when he is sentenced on February 7, 2020.
