Man Found Fatally Shot on Railroad Tracks Near High School in Glassboro

Authorities in Gloucester County announced that on Sunday, November 3, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Glassboro Police were dispatched to the railroad tracks in the area between the Glassboro High School and the Bowe Elementary School for the report of a deceased male.

Upon arrival, officers discovered the male subject deceased from an apparent gunshot wound to his head, Gloucester County officials stated.

The victim was identified as Oscar Guerrier, 27, from Glassboro, Glassboro police said.

According to Gloucester County officials, an autopsy conducted by the Gloucester County Medical Examiner determined that Guerrier suffered two gunshot wounds, to the head and upper torso, and the manner of death was homicide.

Investigation by the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office and Glassboro Police Department is ongoing, Gloucester County authorities said. 

Gloucester County officials stated this is believed to have been an isolated incident, with no current threat to the local community.
