A man who allegedly crashed into an Edison home earlier this morning fled the scene causing a serious two-vehicle accident in Scotch Plains that sent three to the hospital after one of the vehicles overturned.
At approximately 10 a.m., Ralph Rojas, of Edison, struck the brick wall of a home on Rahway Road near Inman Avenue and fled the scene of the crash.
An hour later, police responded to a crash in Scotch Plains where a black Toyota Rav 4 traveling north on Rahway Road went through a stop sign crashing into a silver Honda Accord.
The Rav 4 overturned and ignited.
The driver of the Honda, a 58-year-old woman, and 33-year-old daughter, were transported to RWJ University Hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Rav 4, Rojas, got out of the overturned car.
He was transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with serious injuries.
