On Monday, the Rahway Police Department issued a 'Stranger Alert Broadcast' to it's residents after a group of students reported that a male on a bicycle partially exposed himself to them.
At approximately 8 a.m., several students walking on Hamilton Street were approached by a male on a bicycle who asked for directions. The suspect then partially exposed himself to the students during the incident.
The suspect was last seen riding his bicycle down Westfield Avenue towards Clark. Rahway officers conducted an extensive search of the area for the suspect but were unable to locate him.
The suspect is described as a Hispanic or Middle Eastern male, in his 20's - 30's, heavy build, with dark wavy hair. He was last seen wearing light colored pants, dark shirt (possibly a blue hooded sweatshirt), and may have been carrying a backpack.
If you are aware of anyone fitting that description, or can provide any other information about the incident, please contact Detective Dan D'Albero of The Rahway Police Department at (732)669-3611 or the Department's TIPS line at (732) 388-1553.
