Police in Newark are investigating circumstances surrounding a stabbing incident that left a male injured in the city Tuesday.
At approximately 5 p.m., officials at St. Micheals Hospital notified police when a male victim entered the emergency department suffering a stab wound in his torso.
Police arrived and spoke to the victim but initially could not get a clear location where the incident occurred.
Officers checked a location on Summit Street for a crime scene ad possible suspects, but no arrests have been reported.
The motive for the attack is under investigation.
