Police have identified one of two suspects accused of stabbing a man and a dog inside his Pennsville apartment last week.
According to police, on Jan. 8th at approximately 1:07 p.m., officers were dispatched to Scooters Bar located on Main Street for a 911 hang up.
Upon arrival, officers discovered a 36-year-old man had been stabbed in the forehead (lacerating the length of his face)causing serious bodily injury.
Also, the victim’s dog was also found suffering life-threatening stab wounds.
The victim stated two male subjects came to his apartment above the bar at which time a physical altercation ensued.
The victim refused to provide a statement and also refused medical treatment. The dog was transported to Delaware by animal control for medical attention.
Officers continued to investigate the crime and are currently looking for Marcellous E. Willitts, 30, of Carney’s Point for questioning.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
