Authorities in Jersey City are investigating the motive behind a violent stabbing attack that left a man severely injured in a section of the city Tuesday evening.
The incident happened around 9:25 p.m. in the vicinity of Martin Luther Drive and Oak Street.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene when they learned of a person mortally wounded at that location.
Units arrived at the scene and found the victim bleeding heavily from his neck after someone stabbed him with a knife.
Police say EMS rushed the victim to the hospital, where doctors treated non-life threatening injuries.
The Hudson County Prosecutor's Office was notified of the stabbing.
There were no other injuries reported.
