Police are investigating a shooting that left one person injured overnight in the city.
A male victim who was self-transported to East Orange General Hospital shortly before 3 a.m. suffering injury from an apparent gunshot wound had hospital officials contact people. The man told officials that he was shot in the area of Munn Ave. and Tremont Ave.
Police setup a crime scene in the area where they searched for evidence and possible suspects.
The man's injuries were not reported to be life threatening.
The motive for the shooting is under investigation.
