Man Charged with Possession, Distribution of Narcotics in Brick Township

Authorities in Ocean County announced that local detectives conducted a two-month-long investigation into the distribution of illegal narcotics in the Ocean County area.AdOcean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said this cooperative, multi-agency investigation identified a residence in Brick Township as being utilized by Brandon O’Shea, 40, of Brick Township, to store and distribute cocaine and marijuana.

Officials stated that on May 9, 2024, Detectives from the aforementioned law enforcement agencies established stationary and mobile surveillance on the subject residence in Brick Township.

Detectives observed O’Shea exit the residence, enter his motor vehicle, and leave the area, officials say.

According to officials, a short time later, officers from the Brick Township Police Department effectuated a motor vehicle stop on the vehicle that O’Shea was operating.

O’Shea was taken into custody without incident, officials stated. 

Authorities say detectives subsequently executed a court-authorized search warrant on the subject residence.

As a result, officials stated, detectives seized approximately 100 grams of cocaine, 80 grams of methamphetamine, eight grams of heroin, more than five pounds of marijuana and THC products, and $333,000 in United States Currency.

O’Shea was charged with multiple charges including Possession of One-Half Ounce or More of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of One-Half Ounce or More of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Five Pounds or More of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Less than One-Half Ounce of Heroin with Intent to Distribute, Possession of Cocaine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Heroin.AdOfficials say the rest of the charges are Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Heroin with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Distribute within 1000 feet of a School, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Financial Facilitation.

O’Shea was transported to the Ocean County Jail and subsequently released as a consequence of New Jersey Bail Reform, officials said.
