A man who barricaded himself inside a house this morning in the city's West Ward surrendered to authorities a short time ago.
The incident happened on Midland Place at around 10 a.m. after cops responded to the address for reports of a domestic violence incident.
Arriving police and emergency service units attempted to get the man to come out of the house when he refused several time according to reports.
There were reports of children inside the residence during the standoff that ended when the man surrendered shortly before 11 a.m. without being injured.
The suspect was taken to an area hospital for evaluations.
The incident is under investigation.
