Police in Newark are investigating the motive behind an attack of a man that occurred at a train station in the city on Thursday evening.
It happened just before 5:25 p.m. where police were called to Light Rail Station on Orange Street to investigate reports of an injured person.
Units arrived at the scene and found a male bleeding from the face after he was beaten by an unidentified person.
The victim was transported to the hospital where doctors treated non-fatal injuries.
NJ Transit officials said the incident was being handled by The Newark Police Department and did not happen at the light rail station.
There were no arrests reported.
