A foot pursuit of a man wanted, or a shooting in Newark ended with an arrest Wednesday afternoon.
Just before 6 p.m., police began chasing a male on Park Avenue who was wanted for shots fired in the area of Crane Street and Dr. Martin Luther King Boulevard.
Before the pursuit, police say the suspect pulled a weapon and began shooting at two people for an unknown reason.
Police captured the suspect neat the intersection near the intersection of Bloomfield Avenue and Park Avenue without further incident.
The incident remains under investigation.
