Man Arrested for Possessing Loaded Weapon in Newark

A 22-year-old Newark resident, Hafiz Muhammad was arrested this morning for possessing a loaded handgun said Public Safety Director Anthony Ambrose.

Fugitive Apprehension Team (FAT) detectives found the gun on Muhammad while in the 100 block of Badger Avenue conducting an investigation.

Muhammad is charged with possession of a handgun and possession of the handgun for unlawful purposes.

These are mere accusations with the suspect innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
