Police took a man into custody and charged him with possessing weapons and making terroristic threats on Friday afternoon in the city.
According to Newark Police, their Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested **Alpha Jalloh, 21, of Newark,** for making terroristic threats on Friday, December 30, 2016.
According to authorities, at approximately 3 p.m., police responded to a South Ward residence after receiving a call of a man threatening a female victim with a gun.
As a result of their investigation, detectives determined that Alpha Jalloh is a suspect in this incident and a warrant for his arrest was issued.
Detectives arrested Jalloh today on the warrant. He is charged with Terroristic Threats, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose.
These charges are merely accusations.
The suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
