According to authorities On March 31st at around 6:00 am, Paterson Police Department and Paterson Fire Department responded to a 911 call of a sick / injured person lying on the ground outside on an empty lot at 374 Chamberlain Ave.
Paterson Police, Paterson Fire EMS and St. Joseph’s Hospital ALS proceeded to the scene, where a white male was found deceased on the ground.
Medical personnel proceeded to examine the individual, and he was pronounced dead at the scene according to authorities.
Paterson police detectives Ralph Fermin, Ed DelValle, and Kelvin Matos arrived at the location along with Det. John Scully of the Crime Scene Unit, and proceeded to conduct their investigations.
Based on the scene and the condition of the deceased, the detectives were able to determine that the deceased had died at some other location and was transported to this location.
Later that day, as the investigation proceeded the detectives were able to identify the John Doe and make notification to the family.
John Doe was identified as Ali Achmetov age: 65 of Newark.
Detectives further learned that Mr. Achmetov was in possession of a Gray Pontiac Wagon that the detectives had information may have been used to transport the deceased.
Detectives put out the full description of the stolen vehicle, to all police officers in the State of New Jersey.
On April 1, 2017, the New Jersey Medical Examiner’s Office had informed the detectives that the cause of death for Mr. Achmetov was from Natural Causes.
Detectives made notification to the family of Mr. Achmetov and provided them with the information to contact the Medical Examiner’s Office.
On April 2, 2017, Paterson Police Officer Edgar Taylor saw the vehicle in the area of Broadway and Straight Street and proceeded to make a motor vehicle stop.
In the vehicle were two occupants who were then transported to Police Headquarters for further investigation by the detective bureau.
Detectives Fermin and Matos proceeded to respond to continue their investigation, and as a result of their investigation, they identified one of the individuals as the person who had transported and disposed of the deceased at 374 Chamberlain Ave.
Michael Rzucidlo age: 40 of Clifton, NJ was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle and unlawful disposal of human remains.
