Police in Newark reported the arrest of Mr. Rusean Hyde, 27, of Newark, in connection with a business burglary that occurred on Monday, January 24.
Police say at approximately 10 p.m., police responded to Gallery of Hair, located at 1151 South Orange Avenue, on a burglary call.
Responding officers observed the suspect standing in the back doorway of the establishment before he fled inside.
According to police, Hyde was ordered by police to come out. He complied and was immediately taken into custody.
Police found Hyde in possession of a screwdriver. Police also located a crowbar and duffle bag near the rear door.
The bag contained marijuana, candy edibles, food edibles, packaging for drug paraphernalia and other items. Hyde faces charges of burglary, possession of burglary tools, theft and criminal mischief.
These charges are merely accusations. This suspect is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
