A 19-year-old Monmouth Junction man was charged after being accused of touching and massaging the feet of several lifeguards in South Brunswick and Franklin Township.
On August 3, Lawrence Malapitan, went to the Nassau Square Clubhouse pool off Route 27 around noon, sat next to a female lifeguard -a 16-year-old teen- and began touching her feet.
According to report, the Malapitan began massing her feet claiming he was starting a foot massage company. The lifeguard then told him to stop or she would call the police. As Malapitan left, the lifeguard managed to take a photo of him.
She claims this was not the first time the man had done this. Approximately, three week ago Malapitan did the same thing but she never reported it because she thought he was just 'weird'.
After this second incident police were contacted.
Hours later, South Brunswick detectives were notified Franklin Police had arrested a man at an apartment complex after a man -identified as Malapitan - was accused of touching lifeguards feet.
Malapitan was identified and linked as the suspect in the South Brunswick and Franklin Township incidents," police said.
He was charged with harassment and issued a ticket to appear in South Brunswick court. Charges against him in Franklin Township were not immediately available.
