A domestic violence suspect roundup underway in Newark has police looking for three men this morning.
According to a statement released by Newark Police Director Anthony Ambrose, **Mr. Mark Hardin, 39, Mr. Ramar Harris, 44 and Mr. Kevin Gwyn, 47,** are all wanted for separate violations of the state’s domestic violence laws.
Director Ambrose said on March 29, 2018, a temporary restraining order was issued against Gwyn and on September 4, 2018, the victim, a friend he knows, reported that the suspect was calling her phone in violation of the final restraining order she had been issued.
Police immediately issued a warrant for Gwyn’s arrest for the violation of the restraining order and are expecting to charge him for harassment Director Ambrose said in the statement.
In a second incident, Director Ambrose said a warrant for aggravated assault under NJ’s Domestic Violence laws was issued for Hardin’s arrest stemming from an incident on August 5, 2018, where he violently punched a female -he knows- in her face. The victim sustained severe injuries as a result according to Director Ambrose.
Police served Harris a copy of a restraining order against him on August 7, 2018, then l weeks later, Director Ambrose said Harris violated the order when he allegedly went to the victim’s place of employment. A warrant for Harris's arrest was issued after the woman he knew filed a police report according to Director Harris.
