The Union County Police Department is investigating a report of an assault this afternoon at Cedar Brook Park in Plainfield.
Police responded to the county park shortly before 12:30 p.m. for a report of an assault.
Upon arrival, police found a 69-year-old male suffering from non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to JFK Medical Center in Edison by Union County EMS.
The incident remains under investigation, according to officials.
No immediate description was available on the suspect(s).
