One person suffered non-fatal burns from an apartment fire in Elizabeth on Sunday night.
At approximately 9:40 p.m., firefighters responded to reports of a fire at 805 Bond Street.
Upon arrival, crews found smoke coming from apartment number five of the mixed occupancy building.
Crews located the seat of the fire in the kitchen and then extinguished the blaze in under 30 minutes.
The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Burn Center in Livingston for treatment and is expected to recover.
The cause of the fire is under investigation and no other injuries were reported.
