Police in Newark are investigating a stabbing incident in the city's Central ward Saturday morning.
Newark authorities said at approximately 3:30 a.m, officers were called to the area of 579 16th Avenue near South 11th Street to investigate reports of an injured person.
Upon arrival, police found a male victim suffering stab injuries at that location.
Police say the unidentified victim was transported to University Hospital and treatment and is expected to recover.
Newark Police have not released a motive for the attack at this time.
