A male victim suffering a gunshot wound to the arm was transported to Jersey City Medical Center for treatment after gunfire rang out in a neighborhood in the city on Wednesday night.
According to preliminary reports, police responded to shots fired that rang out in the area of JFK Boulevard and Audobon Avenue at approximately 9:20 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found the victim bleeding from the arm after a bullet struck him according to police.
Authorities are attempting to determine if the shooting is connected to a shots fired incident that occurred on Martin Luther King Drive and Bidwell Avenue before locating the victim.
The motive for the attack remains under investigation.
